Chorherren Foundation of St. Thomas’s Has Existed for 20 Years
This year, the Chorherren Foundation of St. Thomas’s can look back on its 20th anniversary. It was established in June 2001. During the past two decades, the foundation appointed 44 Honorary Fellows. Seven new Honorary Fellows will be inducted during the motet on 2nd October 2021. On that weekend, the foundation will also celebrate its 20th anniversary.

Chorherren Foundation Supports Church Music in Motets and Services at St. Thomas Church
Since the international Bachfest Leipzig cannot take place in its usual form again in 2021, the Executive Board of the Chorherren Foundation of St. Thomas’s has decided to support this year’s digital performances of the Messiah cycle with a sum of 10k Euros. The board has also decided to facilitate the church music in motets and services at St. Thomas Church until the end of the school year. This will be performed by self-employed musicians.
